本标准规定了食用盐的术语和定义、要求、试验方法、检验规则、判定规则、包装、标识、运输和贮存。

本标准适用于以海水、地下卤水、盐湖卤水、海盐、岩盐或湖盐为原料制成的食用盐。本标准不适用于低钠盐产品。

本标准不适用于其他原料生产的盐产品，特别是化工、轻工等副产品盐。
