本标准规定了电钻的基本参数、型式、技术要求、试验方法和检验规则等要求。
本标准适用于一般环境条件下，对金属、塑料及类似材料钻孔用的手持式交直流两用电钻、单相串励电钻(以下简称电钻)。
本标准不适用于双速、多速、电子调速和永磁直流电钻，也不适用于冲击电钻和多用途电钻。
