本标准规定了船用普通矩形窗(简称矩形窗)的分类和标记、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输与贮存。
本标准适用于海洋船舶干舷甲板以上的甲板室、上层建筑及海上结构物的有关舱室用矩形窗的设计、制造和验收。内河船舶上的矩形窗的设计、制造和验收亦可参照使用。
