本标准规定了液化石油气钢瓶的型式、材料、设计、制造、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、贮运和使用年限等。
本标准适用于在正常环境温度（－40℃～60℃）下使用的，公称工作压力为2.1　MPa，公称容积不大于150　L，可重复盛装液化石油气（应符合GB 11174的规定）的钢质焊接气瓶（以下简称钢瓶）。
