本标准规定了指针式石英钟（以下简称“石英钟”）的技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输、贮存。
本标准适用于晶振频率为32 768 Hz、标称工作电压为DC 1.50 V的石英钟，石英钟机心及采用该类机心的其他计时装置亦可参照使用。
本标准不适用于特种用途的石英钟，如飞机、船舶和汽车上用的石英钟。
