本标准规定了以铂钴标准溶液为标准色，用目视比色法测定色度的通用方法。
本标准适用于色调接近铂钴标准溶液的、澄清透明、浅色液体试剂色度的测定。利用本标准测定色度时，检测下限为4黑曾单位。
本标准不适用于易炭化物质的测定。
