GB/T 6324的本部分规定了采用国际照明委员会（CIE）1931年确立的、以X、Y、Z（三刺激值）表示澄清液体颜色的原理，测定颜色（以铂钴色度表示）的仪器方法。
本部分适用于测定标称铂钴色号为0～100号，澄清、无混浊的液体有机化工产品，且样品与铂钴溶液吸光特性相似、无荧光发射。
