本标准规定了一种表示阴离子表面活性剂在水中溶解度与呈函数关系曲线的方法，从而求得它在给定温度下的溶解度。
本标准适用于纯表面活性剂，也适用于工业产品和液体阴离子表面活性剂复配制品，只要这些产品溶液清澈透明，色泽不太深。
用纯产品得到的溶解度曲线可以用来测定克拉夫待（Krafft)温度。
