本标准规定了化学纤维长丝沸水收缩率和干热空气收缩率的试验方法（处理后）--绞丝法和单根法。绞丝法提供了手工测量和仪器测量两种方式，有争议时采用手工测量。
本标准适用于线密度小于3 000 dtex的化学纤维长丝。
本标准不适用于预取向丝。
