本标准规定了用火焰发射或原子吸收光谱测定玻璃在100℃盐酸溶液中耐浸蚀性的方法。玻璃的耐酸性用其单位表面积析出碱性氧化物的质量来表示。
本标准适用于具有良好耐酸性的硼硅玻璃制品，若将试样经过酸预处理，也可以测定玻璃材质的耐酸性。
