GB/T 6730的本部分规定了滴定法测定亚铁含量。
本部分适用于天然和加工铁矿石中亚铁含量的测定，测定范围（质量分数）：0.2% ～28.0 %。
本方法只适于GB/T 24515或GB/T 24189中规定的矿石还原性试验中使用，不适用于硫含量大于0.3 %或含游离碳大于5.0 %的矿石。试验表明，在满足还原性试验方法精密度的要求下，酸不溶残渣可以忽略。
