本标准规定了散页状、卷筒状或条状照相胶片和相纸在冲洗加工前后的卷曲性能的测量和定量表达方法。
本标准规定了三种测量方法:方法A是试样保持垂直时测量卷曲度的方法，方法B和C是试样保持水平时的方法。由于试样的外形和尺寸的不同，三种方法的数值不能互相比较。
这些方法都不能用于测定感光材料在冲洗或干燥过程中的卷曲性能。
注: 卷曲性能是影像材料的物理性能，与影像材料的物理性能和稳定性相关的国际标准的编号方法见附录A。
