本标准规定了在显微镜油浸物镜下测定煤的抛光面上镜质体最大反射率和随机反射率的方法。
本标准适用于烟煤和无烟煤之单煤层煤或混配煤的反射率测定。褐煤的反射率测定、沉积岩中分散有机质的反射率测定可参照使用。
本标准不适用于通过自动化显微镜分析由计算机软件解释镜质体反射率测值的方法。
本标准不适用于测定混配煤组成的比例。
