本标准规定了船舶及海洋工程用结构钢的分类和牌号、订货内容、尺寸、外形、重量及允许偏差、要求、检验和试验、包装、标志和质量证明书。
本标准适用于制造远洋、沿海和内河航区航行船舶、渔船及海洋工程结构用厚度不大于150 mm的钢板、厚度不大于25.4 mm的钢带及剪切板和厚度或直径不大于50 mm的型钢（以下简称钢材）。
