本标准规定了外径Do至250 mm整体式薄壁法兰轴瓦和外径Do至500 mm无法兰薄壁轴瓦的公差、结构要素和检验方法。由于结构设计的变化，轴瓦尺寸不做统一规定。
符合本标准的轴瓦主要用于往复式发动机，轴瓦由钢背及其内侧的一层或多层轴承合金组成。
