本标准规定了耐火材料热膨胀测定的定义、原理、设备、试样、试验步骤、结果计算、试验误差和试验报告。本标准适用于测定耐火材料的线膨胀率、平均线膨胀系数和瞬时线膨胀系数。

本标准包含以下两种热膨胀试验方法：

a)〓示差法；

b)〓顶杆法。
