GB/T 7403的本部分规定了牵引用铅酸蓄电池一般技术要求、试验条件、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输、贮存等。本部分适用于工矿企业、仓库、码头及车站作电动车辆电源，尤其作电力牵引车辆或物料装卸设备的电源使用的牵引用铅酸蓄电池（以下简称蓄电池）。
本部分不适用于电动道路车辆用铅酸蓄电池及电池组。
