本标准规定了发电用汽轮机的名词术语与定义、 新蒸汽参数系列和运行中进汽参数允许波动范围等。
本标准适用于额定功率等级从0.75MW到1000MW或更大，新蒸汽压力从1.28MPa到31MPa或更高的固定式发电用(凝汽式)或热电联产用(背压式、抽汽背压式、抽汽凝汽式)汽轮机。
本标准不适用于核电汽轮机和蒸汽—燃气联合循环用汽轮机。
