本标准规定了机动往复泵（以下简称“泵”）的试验的实施、参数测量、数据处理、性能曲线的绘制、试验报告。
本标准包括了两种测量精度等级：1级适用于较高精度的试验，2级适用于一般精度的试验，两种测量精度等级包含了不同的容差系数值、容许波动值和测量误差限。
本标准既适用于不带任何管路附件的泵本身，也适用于带有管路附件的泵组合体。
