本标准规定了水轮发电机及其附属设备的总体技术要求及供货范围、备品备件、专用工具、工厂及现场试验以及试运行的要求。本标准适用于与水轮机直接连接、额定容量为25 MVA及以上的三相50 Hz凸极同步发电机（以下简称水轮发电机）。额定容量小于25 MVA或频率为60 Hz的出口水轮发电机可参照执行。
