本标准规定了在平形或槽形托辊上使用的具有橡胶或塑料覆盖层的普通用途织物芯输送带（简称“普通输送带”）的术语、结构、标记、技术要求、检验、标志、包装、贮存与运输。
本标准适用于具有橡胶或塑料覆盖层的普通用途织物芯输送带。
本标准不适用于耐热、耐寒、耐油、难燃、耐酸碱和食品输送等特殊用途的输送带，也不适用于ISO 21183-1[1]规定的轻型输送带。
