本标准规定了煤中锗的蒸馏分离—苯芴酮分光光度法和萃取分离—苯芴酮分光光度法的方法提要、试剂材料、仪器设备、试验步骤、结果表述和方法精密度等。在仲裁分析时，应采用蒸馏分离—苯芴酮比色法。
本标准适用于褐煤、烟煤和无烟煤。测量范围为（1～200）μg/g。
