本标准适用于各种钢丝绳产品实际破断拉力的测定。合金浇注法适用于钢丝绳直径大于等于6 mm或钢丝直径大于等于0.5 mm钢丝绳；树脂浇注法和套管压制法适用于所有类型的钢丝绳；直接夹持法适用于单股钢丝绳，也适用于其他结构的钢丝绳；缠绕法适用于直径不大于20 mm钢丝绳。
