本标准规定了气体中的微量氢的气相色谱测定方法。
本标准适用于氮、氩、氧、空气、氪、氙及灯泡用氩等气体中微量氢的测定，也适用于医学和电力等领域。测定范围为0.02～100×10-6（体积分数）。
当待测样品中含有200×10-6（体积分数）以上的氖或1000×10-6（体积分数））以上的氦时，将对氢的测定产生干扰。此时需将氢与氦、氖分离之后本标准方能适用。
