本标准规定了普通螺纹用滚丝轮的型式、尺寸及偏差、技术要求、标志和包装等的基本要求。
本标准适用于加工普通螺纹（GB/T 192～193，GB/T 196～197）的滚丝轮。滚丝轮分为三种精度等级：1级、2级和3级。1级适用于加工公差等级为4级、5级的外螺纹；2级适用于加工公差等级为5级、6级的外螺纹；3级适用于加工公差等级为6级、7级的外螺纹。
