GB/T 9771的本部分规定了B4类非零色散位移单模光纤的几何、光学、传输特性和机械、环境性能的要求，规定了光纤特性的测量方法。该类光纤的零色散波长不在1 550 nm附近，在使用波长区域具有一非零的小色散值，以抑制密集波分复用（DWDM）中四波混频（FWM）效应。不同类型的光纤可分别适用于1 530 nm～1 565 nm波长区域和1 460 nm~1 625 nm波长区域。
本部分适用于通信光缆和其他信息传输设备中使用的B4类非零色散位移单模光纤。
