GB/T 9771的本部分规定了B5类宽波长段光传输用非零色散单模光纤的几何、光学、传输特性和机械、环境性能的要求，规定了光纤特性的测量方法。该类光纤的色散值在1 460 nm~1 625 nm整个波段范围内都保持非零，它适用于在1 460 nm~1 625 nm波段范围内的密集波分复用（DWDM）应用或粗波分复用（CWDM）应用。
