本指导性技术文件给出了符合GB/T 3098.2规定的螺母设计准则，以防止静态拉力超载时出现螺纹脱扣的失效形式。
本指导性技术文件也适用于非标准螺母或与螺栓配合的内螺纹件(符合GB/T 192）。但是，尺寸因素，如对边宽度或其他与螺母刚度有关的尺寸、螺纹公差等都会影响螺栓和螺母连接副的承载能力。因此，应针对计算结果进行验证试验。
注：本指导性技术文件提到的“螺栓”和“螺母”用作内、外螺纹紧固件的通用术语。
