Scope of Application：
This document applies to ultrasonic testing during the stages of verifying the correctness of component geometry, material characteristics (mass or defects), and manufacturing processes (such as weld inspection).
This document provides user guidance to meet customer requirements, specified testing procedures, standardized documents, or rules, including the following:
- Ultrasonic probes, probe systems, and control transducers;
- Manipulation systems, including control;
- Electronic subsystems for transmitting and receiving ultrasound;
- Data storage and display systems;
- Systems and methods for evaluating test results.
This document describes the performance verification procedures for the selected testing systems.
The testing includes the following two types:
- Testing during the manufacturing process of products (fixed testing systems), and;
- Testing using mobile testing systems.
