Power systems management and associated information exchange—Part 1:Reference architecture
Standard in brief
Scope of Application:
The power grid, including transmission and distribution, from generation to consumer users, and energy markets are facing many new challenges while integrating an increasing number of digital computing and communication technologies, electrical architectures, related processes and services. Power systems are faced with the need to support the growing interactions between the relevant players, components and systems.
Therefore, the IEC presents a clear and comprehensive roadmap for all standards that support these interactions in an open and interoperable way.
The purpose of this document is to provide such a roadmap (available in 2016) and also to present a vision of the path to be followed in the coming years by the relevant IEC Technical Committees and Working Groups in order to improve the efficiency, market relevance and coverage of the series of standards published by IEC TC 57.
