本标准适用于离子型稀土原矿中离子相稀土总量的测定，共包含3个方法：方法1 电感耦合等离子体质谱法、方法2 电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法与方法3 EDTA容量法。方法1的测定范围为：0.010%～0.50%；方法2的测定范围为：0.020%～0.50%；方法3的测定范围为：0.020%～0.50%。其中，方法3不适用于浸取后溶液中铁含量大于10用于浸取后或铜含量大于5铜含量大于的试样的测定。
