本规范规定了最大额定输入功率在2500 W及以下，利用频率为2450 MHz的ISM频段电磁能量以及由电阻性电热元件加热炉腔内物品和食物的家用和类似用途微波炉（以下简称“微波炉”），包括组合型微波炉的能源效率的计量要求、计量检测程序、计量检测方法、计量检测结果评定准则和检测报告等内容。
本规范适用于微波炉能源效率计量监督检测，委托检测可参考本规范进行。生产和销售微波炉的单位亦可参照本规范进行检测。
接受检测的微波炉应是生产者自检合格的产品，或者是销售者进口、销售的商品。
本规范不适用于商用微波炉、工业微波炉以及带抽油烟机的微波炉。
