1.3〓本部分适用于用单向纤维增强的，并满足GB/T 1040本部分测试要求（包括破坏模式）的所有聚合物复合材料。
本部分适用于用热塑性材料或热固性材料制成的复合材料，包括预浸渍材料（预浸料）。涉及到的增强材料包括碳纤维、玻璃纤维、聚芳酰胺纤维或其他类似纤维。涉及到的增强材料几何形状，包括单向（即完全成一条直线的）纤维、无捻粗纱以及单向织物和窄带织物等。
本部分不适用于由几种单向层压板在不同角度下复合成的多向复合材料（见GB/T 1040.4—2006）。
