本标准适用于以蒸汽、热水、蒸汽空气水、蒸汽空气混合体为传热介质的高压静止式（立式、卧式，含喷淋式、全水式）、回转式、高压无篮式、水静压式、常压水浴连续式、常压隧道连续式、常压蒸箱、水浴杀菌槽（池）等热力杀菌设备的热分布测试。
本标准不适用于微波加热式、火焰加热式杀菌设备的热分布测试。
