Scope of Application：
本文件规定了超高分子量聚乙烯(PE-UHMW)热塑性塑料材料的命名系统，该系统可作为分类基础。
本文件的超高分子量聚乙烯(PE-UHMW)是指在温度为190 ℃、负荷为21.6 kg条件下，熔体质量流动速率(MFR)小于0.1 g/10 min的聚乙烯材料。
注：GB/T 21461.2新增了在230 ℃/21.6 kg条件下，采用三倍截面积口模(内径3.628 mm)测定熔体体积流动速率(MVR)的附加性能测试项目，这对表征某些PE-UHMW材料(如管材料)的性能是很有价值的。
不同类型的超高分子量聚乙烯热塑性塑料材料用下列指定的特征性能值以及推荐用途和(或)加工方法、重要性能、添加剂、着色剂、填料和增强材料等为基础的一种分类系统加以区分：
a) 黏数(比浓黏度)；
b) 定伸应力；
c) 简支梁双缺口冲击强度。
本文件适用于所有PE-UHMW均聚物和其他1-烯烃单体质量分数小于50％及带有官能团的非烯烃单体质量分数不多于3％的共聚物。
本文件适用于常规为粉状、颗粒或碎粒状，未改性或经着色剂、添加剂、填料等改性的超高分子量聚乙烯(PE-UHMW)热塑性塑料。
本文件不意味着命名相同的材料必定具有相同的性能。本文件不提供用于说明材料特殊用途和(或)加工方法所需的工程数据、性能数据或加工条件数据。如需，采用GB/T 21461.2中规定的试验方法确定这些附加性能。
