本文件规定了下列单独或组合安装在艇上的直流和交流电气系统的设计、制造和安装要求：a) 所用标称电压为50 V或以下的超低压直流电气系统；b) 所用标称电压不超过250 V的单相交流电气系统。本文件不适用以下内容：--符合ISO 16315规定的直流电压不超过1 500 V、单相交流电压不超过1 000 V和三相交流电压不超过1 000 V的电力推进系统；--作为舷外发动机组件的一部分，且不超过舷外发动机制造商提供的整流罩的所有导线；--符合IEC 60092507规定的所用标称电压不超过500 V的三相交流装置。
