本文件规定了装入感应电机定子绕组内部或放置在感应电机其他适当位置，以防止热过载对电机造成严重损害的热保护器或热探测器的使用要求。本文件适用于符合IEC 600341和IEC 6003412规定的50 Hz或60 Hz单速三相笼型感应电机：a)〓额定电压不超过1 000 V；b)〓用作全压启动或星三角启动。本文件不适用于：a)〓直接保护转子绕组；仅限间接保护转子绕组保护方法；对于大型电机(特别是2极电动机)和启动惯性大的负载电动机，需要特别注意启动时和“跳闸”后的转子发热。b)〓轴承和其他结构部件的保护。c)〓特定应用的保护方法。
