1.1 本文件规定了医疗器械使用低于灭菌过程常规用量的灭菌因子处理后，进行无菌试验时所需遵循的通用标准。本文件适用于灭菌过程的定义、确认或维护。
1.2 本文件不适用于：
a) 已灭菌产品常规放行前进行的无菌检查；
b) 无菌检查（见 3.12)的实施；
注1：ISO 11135、ISO 11137-1、ISO 111372、ISO 14160、ISO 14937、ISO 17665-1和ISO 20857并未要求执行a)或b)所涉及的检测。
c) 用于证明产品有效期、稳定性和/或包装完整性的无菌检查或无菌试验；
d) 生物指示物或接种产品的培养。
注2：ISO 11138-7给出了生物指示物的培养指南。
