Scope of Application：
通常,由玻璃纤维增强塑料（glass fibre reinforced plastic, GRP）建造的小型船舶可能不利于雷达信号的反射。在雷达作为海上船舶使用的主要观测工具的情况下，国际海事组织认为，在GB/T 39085的本部分中，150 GT以下的小型船舶有必要配备雷达反射器以增强其雷达回波，从而提高船舶对雷达的可见性。
根据IMO MSC.164（78）决议的要求，本部分规定了雷达反射器的最低要求，旨在提高小型船舶的雷达回波。
