Scope of Application：
本文件描述了一种通过在覆盖层表面和基体金属表面之间形成台阶，再应用轮廓记录仪测量台阶高度来确定金属覆盖层厚度的方法，并规定了仪器的特性以及轮廓仪法的特殊测量规程。
本文件适用于测量平整表面上厚度为0.01 μm~1 000 μm的金属覆盖层，如果采用适当措施，也能测量圆柱表面金属覆盖层的厚度。本文件也适用于覆盖层标准片厚度的测量。
本文件不适用于小于0.01 μm且工作表面平直度、平滑度较低的微小覆盖层厚度的测量。
