本文件用于评价非气密封装固态器件在潮湿环境下的可靠性。
本方法为强加速试验，是在没有冷凝的条件下通过温度和湿度加速潮气穿透外部保护材料（包封或密封)或外部保护材料和金属导体的交接面。本方法不施加偏置，以确保潜在的失效机理不能由偏置造成（例如电化学腐蚀)。
本试验用于确定封装内部的失效机理，是一种破坏性试验。
注：本方法是对1996年版IEC 60749中第3章的4c条的试验重新编写（无偏置电压)。
