本文件适用于N2、N3和O3、O4类车辆（不包括半挂车)及其组成的汽车列车，用于水上滚装船运输的车辆可参照执行。
本文件不适用于半挂车及仅具有牵引功能的专用车辆，也不适用于仅为交付而利用滚装船运送的空载商用车。
注1： 对于车辆参数超出一般情况的车辆（特别是质心高度超出正常范围时)，需要考虑特殊的系固点的位置和数量。
注2： 附录A给出了国际海运组织（IMO)推荐的滚装船上广泛使用的系固设施布置要求。
