本文件规定了关节置换用生物稳定的陶瓷骨替代材料（氧化锆增韧高纯氧化铝基复合材料）的性能要求，描述了相应的试验方法。
本文件适用于一种氧化铝基复合材料，即氧化铝占复合材料中的质量分数超过60% 以上，与GB/T 22750.1 描述的材料类似，但添加了一定量的氧化锆和其他明确成分的复合材料。
注： 本文件中规定的性能要求在强度和断裂韧性方面区别于GB/T 22750.1，而且增加了一些针对含氧化锆的材料的特殊要求（见YY∕T 1715）。
在本文件规定的化学组成中列出了添加剂的成分。对于氧化铝或氧化锆陶瓷典型的添加剂为Mg、Y、Ce 等。这些添加剂有助于提高氧化铝⁃氧化锆复合材料的机械性能和化学稳定性。
本文件不包括生物相容性评价（见GB/T 16886.1）。评价依照本文件的框架来生产的特定的复合陶瓷材料的生物相容性是制造商的责任。
