Scope of Application：
本部分适用于自动控制式近距离放射治疗后装医用电气设备的基本安全和基本性能以下简称ME设备。
如果章或条明确指出仅适用于ME设备或仅适用于ME系统则标题和其内容也适用。否则该章或条对ME设备和ME系统都适用。
除通用标准中7.2.13和8.4.1以外本部分范围内并没有对ME设备或ME系统隐含的生理学功能危害提出特殊的要求。
注： 见通用标准的4.2。
本部分适用于自动控制式近距离放射治疗后装设备该ME设备用于疾病的治疗和缓解。
本部分规定要求：
a) 对自动控制的后装ME设备
1) 包含且仅使用β、γ或中子发射密封放射源或设计与制造用于自动控制后装ME设备的近距离治疗X射线源。
2) 能自动将密封放射源从贮源器或将近距离治疗X射线源从患者体外的一个参考位置送至施源器内的治疗位置和从治疗位置返回贮源器或返回近距离治疗X射线源的参考位置。
3) 设计成与患者有接触。
4) 源驱动机构应按预置程序由控制计时器或定时装置控制自动完成放射源的移动。控制计时器或定时装置可以是可编程电子子系统PESS(计算机或微处理器)也可以是不可编程电子系统。
b) ME设备
1) 正常使用时由操作者在经过适当授权或获得合格人员资格后进行操作。操作者具备特定医学应用和特定临床用途如远程后装近距离治疗所需的技能；
2) 按照使用说明书中推荐的方法维护；
3) 由合格人员定期进行质量保证和校准。
本部分对密封放射源的要求不作规定。ME设备使用的X射线管的设计要求在IEC其他标准中已经明确如IEC 60601-2-28:2010。
本部分的要求基于下列假设：
——治疗计划是有效的并给出了恰当的治疗参数值；
——ME设备使用的放射源源强是已知的。
为确保ME设备能完成预置的治疗参数
