Scope of Application：
本文件适用于额定电压不超过72.5 kV的电器设备外壳对外界机械碰撞的防护分级。本文件的目的是规定：a)〓电器设备外壳为保护内部设备因受到机械碰撞而产生有害影响所具备的防护等级的定义；b)防护等级的标志；c)每种标志的要求；d)为确认外壳是否符合本文件的要求而应进行的试验。各技术委员会有责任确定在其所制定的标准中采用本分级方法的程度和方式，并对其所辖设备的“外壳”下定义并确保对于任一指定的分级，其试验与本文件的规定无差异。如有必要，可在相应的产品标准中增加补充要求。对于某些特定类型的设备，在确保达到相同的安全防护等级的前提下，产品委员会能规定不同的要求。本文件仅规定预期用途在其他任何方面均能满足相应产品标准要求的外壳，且从材料及工艺的角度考虑，在正常的使用条件下，外壳已达到所声称的防护等级。
