Scope of Application：
本标准规定了对受到液态污染物间歇作用且同时表面承受交流电应力的绝缘材料进行性能对比的试验方法。以耐电痕化和电蚀损试验进行对比的材料必须是同一种类的材料，因此不同种类材料的试验结果对比可能并非完全有效。
将圆棒形或圆管形标准试样安装于试验装置的旋转轮上，在试样两端装上电极，试样位于旋转轮的外圈。旋转轮与水平面呈一个很小角度作缓慢的旋转，从而试样可在盐水溶液（污染物）中反复地沉浸又离开。
