Scope of Application：
This standard specifies the technical criteria for discard of the main parts of traction lifts, positive drive lifts and hydraulic lifts.
This standard is applicable to passenger lifts and goods lifts, with traction drive at rated speed not exceeding 6.0 m/s or positive drive at rated speed not exceeding 0.63 m/s, or hydraulic lifts at rated speed not exceeding 1.0 m/s.This standard may be taken as a reference for traction drive passenger lifts and goods lifts at rated speed exceeding 6.0 m/s.
This standard is not applicable to service lifts.
In addition to the requirements of this standard, supplementary requirements have to be considered to determine the technical criteria for discard in special cases (use of lifts by persons with disabilities, in case of fire, potentially explosive atmosphere, extreme climate conditions, seismic conditions, transporting dangerous goods, etc.).
