本文件描述了一种用垂直驱动磨盘测定橡胶耐磨性能的方法。
轮状橡胶试样与磨盘相互垂直并按设定的负荷相互挤压，磨耗质量损失是通过设置轮状试样和磨盘间不同的侧偏角、旋转速度和一定的负荷而产生的滑动来测定。测试结果以每单位运行距离的质量损失和（或）与参比胶料相比的耐磨指数表示。
本文件适用于比对试验、质量控制、规范符合性试验、仲裁试验和研发工作。
由于所述的试验装置能够独立地设定各个磨耗参数，如:侧偏角、磨盘旋转速度和负荷，所以本方法可以广泛用于各种橡胶制品（特别是轮胎）的磨耗试验。
