Scope of Application：
本文件涵盖了内部电弧故障控制电器，以下简称IACD，目的是：
——通过（至少）处理内部电弧故障的光学效应，检测低压成套开关设备和控制设备中的内部电弧故障，以及；
——操作电弧抑制电器（外接型或组合型）；
来减小内部电弧故障的影响（见图1）。
在本文件中，术语“光”或“光学”所涵盖的不仅是可见光谱。它们还可以涵盖，例如红外线或紫外线电磁辐射（见附录D）。
