本文件适用于使用固态、液态和气态燃料加热，且用于加热、熔炼、热处理、理化反应等各种工业用途的燃料加热装置。
注： 如精炼炉、轧钢加热炉等炼钢和锻造用燃气加热炉，井式、台车、推杆、步进式、罩式、网带式、振底式、辑底式热处理用淬火、退火、正火、回火、时效、渗碳、渗氮、保温炉，以及其他如陶瓷窑、隧道窑、推板窑、辊底窑、罩式窑、水泥窑、回转窑，排气炉、扩散炉、外延炉、单晶炉、焙烧炉、干燥炉、烧结炉、钎焊炉、焚烧炉等各种形式和用途的燃料加热炉炉窑。
本文件不适用于家用和类似用途的燃料加热器具、取暖设施、烘烤设备等，以及以生产规定温度压力和品质的蒸汽、热水或其他工质的工业锅炉。
